Freebooters coach and former Junior A team player, Paul Smith, was unfortunately diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease (MND) earlier this year.
For 50% of sufferers, life expectancy from diagnosis is less than 3 years.

Lee Surtees, a fellow Loughborough graduate, recently organised a charity football match with an all star All Paul Together XI taking on St Pauli-on-Sea.
St Pauli-On-Sea are a charity football team based in and around Southend, and are an official affiliate supporters group of the German “Kult” club St Pauli.
Many thanks to all the players and supporters from both teams who helped make it a great match and occasion. The final total raised was £1010 which was a great effort by all.
